ORACLE CORPORATION
Vice President, Higher Education
Responsible for consulting, business development, and customer satisfaction initiatives for Oracle’s Higher Education business unit. Managed a consulting team of 200 dedicated consultants who provided consulting and software implementation support to university clients. Developed Oracle’s application service provider offering (Campus OnLine) for the higher education market. Recruited to lead Oracle’s higher education consulting team based on 35 years of university and consulting experience.
AMERICAN MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS, INC.
Vice President and General Manager Higher Education Group
Created a higher education business unit providing consulting and information systems support to clients. Included strategy development, marketing, sales, contracting, software product development, installation, maintenance, consulting, client satisfaction, and financial performance.
Grew higher education unit from a start-up to a business with over 100 large clients. Increased consulting revenues more than tenfold in a five-year period by developing a team of over 100 consulting and technical professionals who assisted clients in reengineering their business processes.
Developed an integrated financial system for universities, resulting in over 50 client projects in the first five years.
UNITED EDUCATORS INSURANCE

Responsible for strategy development, client relationship management, new business growth and organizational development in small risk management company owned by a consortium of universities and focused on the education market. Extensive interaction with board and major university customers.
GEORGETOWN UNIVERSITY
Dean of Admissions, Records and Financial Aid
Directed all admissions operations for five undergraduate colleges utilizing a nationwide alumni support group of 1,500 volunteers in 110 local committees. Led efforts to develop one of the first large-scale university-funded student loan programs and increased student employment tenfold within four years. Identified need for a new student information system, secured funding, and supervised software implementation. Project resulted in a dramatic improvement in service, accuracy of student information and decision making.
